  • Jude: Level 1
    Jude: Level 1
    by Julian Gough

My new novel. It starts with the award-winning, BBC broadcast prologue, "The Orphan and the Mob", and continues with Jude's quest for True Love in Tipperary, Galway, the Aran Islands, and Dublin... Love, death, arson, philosophy, and sex. Starring Jude, an orphan who looks the spit of Leonardo DiCaprio. Except for having two penises. Which makes True Love... complicated.

  • Juno and Juliet
    Juno and Juliet
    by Julian Gough

My first novel, of which I am very fond. The adventures of teenage twin sisters Juno & Juliet, in their first year away from home. Life, love and literature, in Galway and Tipperary.

So, in 'Juno and Juliet' there's a bit of heartbreak here and there and I read an article that mentioned it was written after a break-up to try and understand the female mind (or something of the like).

So.

Does it suck this much forever?

Nope. Six months on average. Year if it's really bad. Then the flowers all pop back up out of the blasted earth, and the little birds start to sing again, and perch on your head, and you look back and wonder what the heck all that was about.

Occasional twinges continue for years, but after a time they're almost pleasant, because you've got a new life now and, since those dark days, many amazing things have happened that you couldn't possibly have predicted.

Where would I be without you? =p One amazing novel short of a library and many conversations short of sanity.
