Rabbit & Bear children's workshop and reading, New York, June 2nd

I will be doing a Rabbit & Bear workshop, for children of roughly 4 to 8 years of age, in New York, on June 2nd. (I’m the featured Irish writer at the 4th annual Rí Rá Children’s Festival of Literature.) I do realise a lot of people have kids of assorted ages: yes, this should be entertaining even if you have another kid who is a bit younger or a bit older than that. Bring them all! I’ll make it work. Here’s a link with all the information.

A talk at the Irish Literary Society, in London

I’ll be talking about my near-future novel Connect at the Irish Literary Society, in London, on January 28th. More details to follow. Or google it…

Here is some background info…

“…the Society was founded by W B Yeats in London in 1892 and has been meeting since; we hold talks and events inviting a range of speakers including recently Marina Carr, Sebastian Barry, Martin Dyar, Edna O'Brien, Eavan Boland, Bernard MacLaverty, Roddy Doyle, Donal Ryan and a variety of other great talents. Our President is Bernard O’Donoghue who succeeded Seamus Heaney and our Vice President is the historian Roy Foster.”

So, it’s a relatively posh beano, by my low standards. Hide your cans of Polish lager in your coat pockets.
