SPECIAL NOTE, APRIL 2020:

Because a lot of teachers have been asking me this question, I have written a VERY LONG answer. Click on the link below…

QUESTION: IS IT LEGALLY OK FOR TEACHERS, LIBRARIANS, AND OTHERS TO READ THE RABBIT & BEAR BOOKS (AND INDEED CHILDREN’S BOOKS GENERALLY) ALOUD TO CHILDREN OVER THE INTERNET DURING THE CURRENT CORONAVIRUS CRISIS? …Click here to see the SHORT ANSWER (which is yes!), the SHORT LONG ANSWER (which is also yes!), and the LONG LONG ANSWER (which is, eventually, yes!)

OK, back to normal…

HURRAY FOR RABBIT & BEAR!

I write the Rabbit & Bear books, and the great Jim Field illustrates them. This website is mostly about my adult work (as most 5-to-8-year-olds aren’t really cruising the internet looking for author blogs); but I may add more Rabbit & Bear stuff here, or even set up a full Rabbit & Bear website, if people are interested. Feel free to contact me through the contact page, and tell me what you’d like.

Meanwhile, here’s a link to an article I wrote for the Guardian on where Rabbit & Bear came from.
